FAQ's

General

How long will it take me to receive my order?

Once we have all the necessary elements of your order together, including the design, item description, etc... an order for screen printed merchandise will generally take no longer than two weeks. Embroidered merchandise may take up to three weeks. Generally though, we surprise our customers with even quicker service, especially on reorders!

Will you print or embroider on items that I provide?

No. In order to maintain our strict quality standards, we prefer to provide and decorate only high quality name-brand garments and accessories that we have found to be of exceptional quality and consistency, such as Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, Jerzee, Gildan, and Outer Banks.

Screen Printed Merchandise

How many items do I have to order?

Our minimum order on Screen Printed merchandise is one dozen items per color of your design.

Will a screen printed design eventually wear out, or wash away?

No. If the ink is properly cured during the curing process, your design will more than likely outlast the garment!

Artwork

Do I have to supply my own logo, or art?

No. We will work with you to help develop a design that makes your message really stand out on whatever item you choose to be decorated.

I already have a logo. Does that mean I don’t have to pay an art prep fee?

Not necessarily. If you can provide your logo in a computer format that we can easily read, such as a Macromedia FreeHand or Adobe Illustrator file, or on film positive separations, chances are there will be no additional art fee. However, if you have your art on a file that we can’t read, and can’t provide it to us in a format that we can read, there will be an additional fee. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can provide your art in camera ready form to reduce your costs.

What is camera ready art?

Camera ready art is a clean laser printout, or very clean copy of your artwork in black and white form. It should be provided at a size close to that at which you wish your actual print to be on your garment. This is art that would look good on your garment without any alterations whatsoever. If you have a multicolor design, you may need to provide a separate black and white printout of the area representing each color of your design.

Screens

What are Screen Preps?

A screen prep, or screen preparation, is the process of taking your design and exposing it onto a screen. We then use a squeegee to pass the ink through the screen onto your garment. Each color of your design requires a separate screen.

When I pay a screen prep fee, does that mean I own the screen?

No. Screens themselves actually cost more than the screen prep fee. The screen prep fee covers our process of preparing the screen for the printing process, as well as cleaning expenses involved with each screen for each job.

When I place a reorder, do I have to pay screen prep fees again?

No. We maintain screens prepared with your design indefinitely. As long as no part of your actual design differs, their will be no additional screen prep fees on reorders.

What is a set-up fee?

A set-up fee covers the expenses we incur when setting up your previously prepared screens for a reorder that does not meet our minimum order criteria for that particular job. If you place a reorder that meets the minimum order criteria, you do not pay set-up fees.

Embroidery

How many embroidered items do I have to order?

Our minimum order on embroidery is at least two dozen items that can be decorated with the exact same design. (This usually includes the same thread colors, the same design size, and garments that are similar in design.)

I already have my design on a disk. That means it’s already been digitized, doesn’t it?

No. Digitizing your design for embroidery is a completely different process than having your design on a computer disk. Digitizing for embroidery entails developing a file that communicates with our embroidery machines and tells them where to put each stitch, which color of thread to use where, and so forth.

Do I have to pay a digitizing fee on reorders?

No. If your design does not change, you do not pay a digitizing fee on reorders.
